This is a great opportunity for someone with previous underwriting experience in Property and Liability. As a Trading Underwriter, you will strive to provide excellent customer service at every opportunity. You will understand what matters to the customer/broker and how that fits with Aviva's plans and strategies.
A bit about the job:
- You will be responsible for underwriting existing profitable business while operating within agreed guidelines and authority levels.
- You will also develop, build, and strengthen relationships with aligned customers/brokers, providing technical support and assistance and dealing with all queries.
- You will use a network of relevant stakeholders to deliver the widest proposition appropriate to the customer and work independently, within underwriting authority, conferring where appropriate on more technical and complex risks.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Knowledge of insurance product features & processes
- Knowledge of underwriting - Property & Liability
- Good planning, prioritisation, and organisation skills
- Excellent communication, listening, time management, and negotiating skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation
- Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation
