Job DescriptionElectrical Estimator – Solar PV £40,000-£50,000ExeterMDE are seeking an electrical estimator with experience of costing and project engineering solar PV projects.We are seeking someone who can fulfil the following job responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labour, equipment, subcontractor costs, and contingencies.Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop optimal system layouts and accurate bills of materials.Conduct site visits (as needed) to evaluate project-specific conditions affecting pricing and logistics.Prepare, circulate and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.Support the business development, project management, and sales teams with technical input and bid documentation.Prepare client-facing proposals and tender submissions.Maintain an up-to-date cost database and estimation tools.Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or compliance. RequirementsExperience in solar PV estimation of projects larger than 100kWExperienced user of PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCad and traditional software such as MS Excel.
