VANRATH is delighted to have partnered with a leading manufacturer to recruit a Business Development Executive to join their talented and growing team.
Salary/Benefits: £28,000 - £30,000 basic plus bonus (monthly, quarterly and annual bonuses). This position also comes with a range of fantastic benefits, as well as early finish Fridays, free on-site parking, life assurance, attendance awards (£200 vouchers per year), paid medical appointments, healthshield, discount, referral scheme, company performance bonuses.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5pm, Friday 8.30am - 2pm.
The Role: Reporting to the Sales Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for generating leads, contacting potential customers via telephone/teams, and converting leads into sales opportunities, while working to monthly revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and engagement.
- Achieve call targets by contacting relevant customers to convert on pre-identified product targets.
- Understand customer needs and requirements to effectively promote our products or services and provide tailored solutions.
- Follow company processes to achieve product conversion targets.
- Identify potential leads and opportunities for new business development within existing customer accounts.
- Proactively prospect and reach out to customers to present new products, promotions, or up-selling opportunities.
- Liaise daily with your associated ASM, sharing information on product discussions/pricing for customers within the area.
- Assist with customer head office visits and be flexible to attend occasional field visits with Area Sales Manager, as and when required.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline updates using CRM software.
- Overcome objections and address concerns raised by potential customers to secure sales appointments or close deals.
- Manage and prioritise leads.
Essential Criteria: 2-3+ years in sales, CRM experience, resilient.
Desirable Criteria: Sales experience within FMCG or Manufacturing.
