An Internal Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Support is required to join a leading global engineering supplier.
The successful candidate will thrive in providing technical support, sales advice, generating quotations, processing orders, expediting requests, managing documentation, and supporting pricing for bespoke engineering products and solutions.
The Internal Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Support will ideally have experience with Gears, Actuators, Rotating equipment, linear motion products, drives, motors or similar, and have a strong desire to learn and grow within a global engineering environment. Full product training will be provided.
Package: £35,000 – £42,000 depending on experience, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Pension, Additional benefits
Responsibilities:
- Manage customer enquiries and key accounts for engineering products
- Oversee build schedules and coordinate with internal teams
- Generate leads and support sales conversions to meet targets
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions and events
- Liaise with various engineering and production departments
- Office-based near Tamworth, with occasional customer visits across the Midlands
Requirements:
- Experience in internal sales, technical sales support, or a similar commercial role, ideally within gears, rotating equipment, linear motion products, or general industrial engineering
- Should have a technical knowledge of engineering or similar parts
- Strong understanding of engineering or industrial components with the ability to discuss technical details confidently
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with engineering, production, and purchasing teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with CRM or ERP systems is advantageous
- Anyone with a BEng, HNC, HND would also be favourable
- A proactive attitude and willingness to develop deep product knowledge
- Engineers looking to transition off the tools into a commercial role will also be considered
