About the Role: We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. Working on a day shift, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all electrical and mechanical systems across the manufacturing/production site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of production machinery.
  • Diagnosing electrical faults and implementing efficient solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Working with PLC systems (fault finding and minor programming beneficial).
  • Assisting with installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Completing maintenance records and supporting audits.

  • Time-served electrician or relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, 18th Edition).
  • Strong electrical skills, with a good understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and automation systems is advantageous.
