We are looking for a motivated and energetic individual to join our dynamic Marketing Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own marketing projects, as well as supporting the wider marketing team and school community.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating and delivering the schools community engagement marketing plan, with responsibility for its regular newsletter (using InDesign) and website.
  • Looking after press and social media monitoring using our media monitoring platform and reacting to media coverage.
  • Keeping up-to date with competitor marketing, providing analysis and reports, and keeping ahead of market trends.
  • Using our digital asset management platform (Asset Bank), with regular uploading and filing of photos and documents.
  • Providing photography and content support for community and school events.
  • Regular updating of the schools website pages, writing up articles, and choosing/editing/adding photos.
  • Providing awards support for the department, plus keeping online schools directories up to date, and liaising with overseas digital agencies.
  • Content creation, including for website and newsletter articles, social media content and the school newsletter.
  • Designing and ordering marketing collateral for events, plus stock management and co-ordination.
  • Digital content support, including posting engaging content, stories and reels, running paid campaigns, making graphics for social media, liaising on collaborations and providing data analysis.
  • Producing admissions events support materials, assisting in planning open mornings and school marketing events.
  • Helping to develop and execute marketing campaigns.
  • Liaising with suppliers including designers, photographers and printers.
  • Building strong relationships across the schools departments (academic and support staff) and responding to department requests and enquiries.
  • Supporting the marketing team across a variety of tasks, including administrative support.

Person Specification:

  • A motivated self-starter, who is well organised and able to keep on top of a busy calendar.
  • Experience of running multiple projects, managing deadlines and budgets.
  • Ability to work under own steam as well as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt writing style to match our 'tone of voice' guidelines, plus excellent proof-reading and editing skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, an understanding of social media management platforms, and ideally good website CMS, Canva, PhotoShop, Premiere Pro and InDesign skills.
  • Be able to react quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, a good eye for a story, photo and video.
  • Enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude and the willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Conscientious, friendly, kind and collaborative.
  • Flexibility to support the marketing team and wider school community as required.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm with a 60-minute unpaid lunch break each day (37.5 hours per week).

Remuneration: The salary for this role is £24,804 per annum.

Holidays: 23 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 28 days plus bank holidays after two years of service.
