Our client is a logistics solutions provider operating across the UK. They have a number of key hubs across England and have been operational for over a decade. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer to join the team. The role will be key to the future success of the team and will require a capable administrator with an eye for detail.

Your key responsibilities will involve restructuring the current administration system to include the following:

  • Reassessing documentation and streamlining current processes.
  • Rewriting and preparing contracts of employment, health and safety manuals and improving documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records, including expenditure, maintenance logs and incident reports.
  • Identify, report and record compliance failures in accordance with procedures.
  • Resolving issues by working closely with subcontractors and second tier suppliers.
  • Managing monthly on-site inspections.
  • Carry out regular on-site Health and Safety Inspections.
  • Assist in review and revision of Service Delivery Plans, Risk Assessments and Operational Procedures.
  • Manage the production of the monthly monitoring reports.
  • Perform and assist with auditing.
  • Ensuring the recruitment business and subcontractors are audit ready.
  • Assisting with training in processes where needed.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and ensuring business wide compliance when updates are needed.

Essential/Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent organisational and administration skills.
  • Experience of the management of contractors and supervision of infrastructure maintenance.
  • You will be a highly personable and approachable individual with a keen eye for detail, and a real passion for driving operational excellence.
  • To be successful in this role you will need to develop effective working relationships with Sub-Contractors, secondary suppliers, the recruitment team and customers whilst being an excellent communicator.
  • Take ownership of the compliance within the business whilst being highly organised and able to work unsupervised, meeting deadlines whilst maintaining exceptional standards.
  • Must have a full clean driving licence.
