Job Title: Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) Location: Leamington Spa, West Midlands Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Shift-Based) Salary: Competitive hourly rate Reports To: Team leader About the Role:We are seeking dedicated and professional Accuracy Checking Technicians (ACTs) to join our team in the West Midlands. This role offers a structured shift pattern and is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.Shift Pattern:Hours: 09:00 – 21:00 (12-hour shifts)Schedule: 4 days on / 4 days off rotationIncludes: Weekends and bank holidays on a rota basisKey Responsibilities:Accurately check and verify dispensed prescriptions in line with SOPs and legal standardsEnsure safe, timely preparation and dispatch of medicationsMaintain accurate patient records (PMR) and uphold data protection standardsIdentify and escalate medication-related issues to the Responsible PharmacistSupport stock management, including ordering, receiving, and regular checksEnsure proper storage of medicines and maintain a clean, safe work environmentHandle returns and maintain logsCoordinate timely communication with GPs and patientsOrganise batch sheets, monitoring expiry dates of treatmentsRequirements:GPhC registration as an Accuracy Checking TechnicianPrevious experience in a community pharmacy or similar setting preferredHigh attention to detail and a strong commitment to patient safetyFlexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as part of the shift rotaPlease send any enquiries and applications to ukjobs@pertempsmedical.co.uk
