Job Description
We are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers.\\n\\nEvery week, Driver Hire find consistent but flexible work for hundreds of drivers, across a variety of industries, ranging from general haulage, timber, pallet delivery and bakery products. We don't require anyone to give up their weekends as work is Monday to Friday if requested. However, some weekends are available for those who want them.\\n\\nThere are a range of start times and shifts available to you.
HGV Class 1 Driver work would typically involve trunking, general haulage and shunting work.\\n\\nOur HGV Class 1 Driver needs:\\n\\n * Cat-C+E driving licence.\\n\\n * Minimum of one year class 1 driver experience.\\n\\n * No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's).\\n\\n * Excellent customer service skills and good literacy.\\n\\n * Full UK Driving licence with Class 1 entitlement held for a minimum of 1-year.\\n\\n * Able to work to tight deadlines.\\n\\n***PLEASE NOTE, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONSIDER APPLICATIONS FROM ANYBODY WITH LESS THAN ONE YEAR'S ENTITLEMENT FOR THIS CLASS OF VEHICLE***\\n\\nThe duties of our HGV Class 1 Driver include:\\n\\n * Driving company vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws.\\n\\n * Carrying out required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance.\\n\\n * Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress.\\n\\n * Completing paperwork accurately as instructed.\\n\\n * Dealing with customers face to face in a polite and courteous manner.\\n\\nAttractive minimum rate of pay of £14.50 per hour (works out at £16.25 per hour inclusive of up front holiday pay) PLUS, regular overtime (£18.85 per hour which is £21.15 per hour when up front holiday pay is added) paid weekly via PAYE.\\n\\nCall Gareth or Lincoln weekdays from 8am until 4pm to discuss these HGV Class 1 Driver job opportunities.\\n\\nWe will review all Class 1 Driver applications and you will be contacted within 24-hours of your application if you have been shortlisted
