Weβre looking for an experienced model maker to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with some of the most renowned names in superyacht and military boat design.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have prior experience creating scale models and a solid understanding of the necessary processes, including 3D printing, laser cutting, sanding, finishing, spray painting, and interpreting 2D and 3D plans. Experience with 3D drawing in Rhino is also beneficial. At SMW, we utilize 3D printers, CNC milling, and other technologies to create each scale model to a high standard; the person we seek will enjoy a hands-on role, possess a keen eye for detail, and be motivated to achieve a high-quality finish on models.
The candidate will be responsible for producing high-specification components for models either independently or as part of a team, working on sections that will come together seamlessly and functionally. A sharp eye for detail, a passion for crafting beautiful items, and a love for anything nautical are all advantageous!
