Company details and job overview: Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist and dynamic food manufacturing business who are in a period of high growth. Based on the outskirts of Harrogate, reporting to the Finance Director, this small but effective finance team are looking to add experience within the department in a role to provide progression and opportunity. This is a progressive business and will suit a commercially minded finance professional.
Your new role as Finance Manager: As Finance Manager and Senior Management Accountant, you shall support the Finance Director in delivering accurate and timely financial information. You will own the preparation of management accounts, factory reporting & variance analysis, manage and support the Accounts Assistant and assist with budgeting & forecasting. A role to add value, you shall ensure accurate and efficient processing of weekly and monthly payroll. This is a crucial role in managing the business finance and helping make informed commercial decisions.
Main role duties:
- Support & cover in absence, Accounts Assistant key tasks (Sales Ledger, AP, Credit Control)
- Management of Invoice Factoring facility
- Variance analysis & discrepancies investigation
- Processing of weekly and monthly payroll
- Daily, weekly & monthly management reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations & supporting schedules
- Maintain & update fixed asset register
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Support the Finance Director with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts & R&D submissions
- KPI reporting
- Cash flow forecasting
- Support with budgeting & forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with internal controls & company policies
- Assisting with any ad hoc tasks where required
Experience & skills required to apply: Proven experience as a FM/Management Accountant or in a similar role within finance or accounting. Ideally ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, you shall have strong knowledge of month-end process and ledger management principles. With excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting, you shall have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
