We are currently recruiting to a brilliant opportunity for a newly qualified Prosecutions Lawyer to join a well-regarded London Borough Council on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Our client is looking for a Prosecutions Lawyer who ideally has some local authority experience to join their friendly and welcoming team. This role is offering an initial 12 month fixed term contract with the opportunity to be extended or become permanent. This is a full-time role and the successful candidate will be required to attend the office twice per week and attend court as and when needed. Therefore this role would suit someone who is able to commute to South London.

The main duties of this role include handling a caseload of prosecutions matters including:

  • Planning
  • Education
  • Environmental Protection
  • Trading Standards
  • Environmental Housing issues

Our client is seeking a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with previous experience in Prosecutions. Our client is very happy to look at newly qualified candidates from other public sector backgrounds as long as prosecutions experience can be demonstrated. The successful Prosecutions Lawyer will be joining a friendly and supportive team within a well-regarded local authority and will have the opportunity to work on an interesting and diverse caseload.
