Due to sustained growth, our client is seeking a talented Designer/Detailer to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity offering a collaborative and supportive office environment that promotes a strong team ethic.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design architectural, secondary, and structural steelwork to meet client specifications using structural engineers' input
- Liaise with internal departments, clients, and engineers to resolve technical issues and ensure timely, cost-effective solutions
- Produce all drawings for design approvals, including 3D renders where required
- Generate fabrication drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Conduct site surveys as needed
- Attend client design meetings
- Manage workload across multiple live projects
- Carry out general drawing office administration when required
Ideal Skills & Experience
- Previous design experience within fabrication or structural steelwork
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & 3D is essential
- Proficient with IT and Auto CAD/Solid Works systems
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace change
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to engage with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
