My client, a leading international group with both food and retail arms, is seeking to hire a Compliance Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Code Compliance Officer (CCO), you’ll play a key role in ensuring our business operates in line with legal requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.
This is a cross-functional role that supports teams across the business—from buying and operations to legal and supply chain—by embedding compliance into everyday activities. Whether it’s delivering training, guiding projects, or managing investigations, your work will help safeguard our values and reputation as we continue to grow. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of shaping and evolving our compliance strategy within a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment.
Role responsibilities:
- Identifying gaps in processes and working with teams to implement effective compliance solutions
- Supporting the development and delivery of compliance training programmes, including annual refreshers and workshops
- Providing guidance to colleagues on the Groceries Supply Code of Practice (GSCOP) and supporting any related queries
- Assisting with internal investigations and third-party complaints, including those from customers or suppliers
- Contributing to compliance reporting for the Groceries Code Adjudicator, Audit Committee, and other internal governance forums
- Developing, managing, and maintaining compliance policies and business procedures
Experience candidates should bring:
- A solid understanding of compliance frameworks and risk management
- Knowledge of GSCOP is a strong advantage
- Experience working in a corporate or retail environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
- Experience in project management
