This position is a remote Europe based position.ResponsibilitiesSupport Senior Director Business Development in:Champions new tender and the renewal of existing contracts and influences proposal requirements.Works closely with Calian Proposals to develop the Technical Bid and manages the proposal timelines, compliance, and submission requirements.Identifies and coordinates the SME inputs for tenders.Reviews proposals and attends pricing meetings accordingly.Supports the Bid approvals process.Supports opportunity specific “Capture Plans” and opportunity “win strategies.”Supports ownership and control of accounts through a short ramp-up and delivery period until such a time as it is deemed appropriate to formally move delivery management to Operations.Works with the Calian Europe Director Operations/ Calian recruiting team.Identification of internal process improvements.General Support:Support and contributes to Calian Europe, as requested, or required.Supports and contributes to quarterly forecasts and annual budget development.Support and contributes to Calian Europe, as requested, or required.Supports and contributes to quarterly forecasts and annual budget development.The above describes essential responsibilities and activities that are typical for an incumbent in this job.This is not intended as an exhaustive list of tasks performed. Depending on organization requirement, other duties may be assigned.QualificationsYou will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the NATO SECRET levelDeep understanding of defence and NATO, and defence requirements and terminology.Experience in leading and contributing to proposals and tenders.Experience in developing NATO specific tenders.Five years of demonstrated success in development of winning bids.Excellent organisational and project management skills.Ability to work independently and manage own workload.Proven experience of successfully managing a number of projects simultaneously.A flexible approach to work with demonstrable ability to exercise initiative with minimal supervision.Strong planning and organisational skills.Strong analytical skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.Educated to degree level or equivalent skills and knowledge.Strong ability to liaise/ engage with internal and external stakeholders.Present a professional, positive image that reflects well on the organisation.Ability to build strong relationships, aligning with Calian’s values of equity, diversity, and inclusivity.Use of AI in Application Review: Calian may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist our recruitment team in reviewing and evaluating job applications.Data Location and Privacy: As Calian is based in Canada, your application data may be collected, processed, and stored within Canada.
