Pizza Chef

We are recruiting for an experienced Pizza Chef to join our award-winning pizza takeaway in Whitstable.Nomad are the winners of Best Independent Pizza Takeaway at the PAPA Industry Awards 2020 and three times Gold Award Winners. We have also been finalists of the National Pizza Awards and Best Food Start up at the Taste of Kent Awards. We have a strong local ethos and pride ourselves in using fresh & local ingredients where possible. We make our own organic pizza dough daily.This role is Head Chef but may also include other areas including Front of House when required. Chef experience is a must, ideally with knowledge of pizzamaking. Candidates should also enjoy working in an intimate open-style kitchen and interacting with customers.A fabulous opportunity to work for an ambitious and dynamic independent food business.You should be sociable and service-orientated and enjoy working as part of our friendly small team. Opportunity to progress to a managerial role for the right person.Duties include: Involves preparing and cooking pizzas to order in an Italian stone-based pizza oven, maintaining high food hygiene standards and cleanliness (we have a 5-star food hygiene rating) and prepping including making fresh dough on the premises.Hours vary depending on the time of year but average around 20-25 hours a week including prep and evening shifts. Hours are sociable, finishing around 9pm and 10pm during the summer holidays.AMRT1_UKCT
