Duties and responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Design Engineers/ Leads/ Tier 3 /Project Managers /Customer and Field Technicians.
- Handle the implementation as per the guidelines shared by Design Engineer.
- Verify the implementation as per the Implementation Design document and SOPs.
- Responsible for migrating the existing infrastructure to SD-WAN along with multi-OEM SD-WAN migrations.
- Scope of Work includes Software (OS) Upgrade / Hardware Refresh (LAN/ WAN/WLAN/ Lan and Wan Activations for various Wan circuits (MPLS / Internet/ LTE/ Broadband).
- Capable of understanding existing hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Capable of working on multi OEM SD-WAN technologies (Viptela/ Versa/Meraki/ Silver Peak/ Palo Alto).
- Capable of handling multi-OEM hardware interfaces like Cisco / Juniper/Aruba/ADTRAN/ versa/ Viptela.
- Firewall Configuration – multi-OEM: Palo Alto/ Fortinet etc.
- Minor Template changes in the Design would be the responsibility post consultation from DE.
- Engage with Design Engineer in case of any major changes to be done in Design Implementation Document.
- Capable to handle Routing, Switching and Wireless deployments and activations.
- Resolving technical issues with networks, hardware, and software.
- Performing speed and security tests on installed networks.
- Responsible for the protection of customer proprietary network information and Project information assets.
Skills/qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, networking administration, information technology, or a similar field.
- At least 9 to 10 years' experience as a network engineer.
- While the requirement is for Cisco, multi OEM (Cisco/ Juniper/ Aruba) knowledge would be an advantage.
- Hands on Experience with Meraki Devices is a must (Router/Switch/Access Point).
- Must have worked on Meraki Dashboard.
- Multi OEM SD-Wan (Viptela/ Versa/ Silver Peak/ Palo Alto/ Meraki) knowledge would be an advantage.
- CCNA/ CCNP/ JNCIA/ SD-Wan / Wireless certifications specific to OEM would be an advantage.
- Good understanding of Routing and Switching along with networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, Wireless, QoS, VRFs, STP).
- Good understanding of Interface configuration / wan link termination scenarios and hardware and Software refresh and upgrade.
- Excellent understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
- Willing to learn new technologies and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
