Export Control Officer

We are currently recruiting for an Export Control Officer to work within the Group Export Control Team. This is a newly created position and will report directly to the Group Head of Export Control. You will be part of a team driving corporate compliance with export control and sanctions regulations. Key Responsibilities Assist with identifying and assessing risks related to export control and sanctions, with a particular focus on the risk of diversion. Support the development and implementation of strategies to mitigate identified risks. Monitor and analyse changes in export control laws and sanctions regulations. Support the design and delivery of training and awareness sessions for employees on export control and sanctions compliance. Assist in delivery of materials to ensure that all relevant staff are aware of their responsibilities and the importance of compliance. Collaborate with various operational areas of the business to integrate compliance measures into daily activities. Assist with regular internal reviews to ensure compliance with export control and sanctions regulations. Support the design and communication of company policies and procedures related to export control and sanctions compliance. Support investigations into potential violations of export control and sanctions regulations. Support the implementation of corrective actions to address compliance issues and prevent future occurrences. Key requirements Knowledge of the fundamentals of international export control laws and sanctions regulations, particularly within the UK, EU & US.
