Experienced HVAC Designer required for short term contract, working on behalf of our client, a global design, engineering and construction contractor, based in Surrey. The successful candidate will be joining the existing team working on an onshore oil & gas terminal project.
Job description:
- Responsible for HVAC design work including the skills to draft air flow diagrams; D P&IDs, HVAC GAs using PDMS Draft (or E3D Draw); and 3D PDMS/E3D modelling of all HVAC system components, ductwork, in-lines fittings and support.
- Designing the installation details for Piping, Electrical, Instruments, Architectural and Structural interconnections for HVAC equipment & ductwork.
- Develop HVAC 3D Model.
- Perform Clash checks within the model.
- Work with HVAC engineers to produce air flow diagrams and ducting flow diagrams.
- Carry out investigations and studies on design related issues.
- Produce duct layout isometric views.
- Co-ordinate HVAC systems, components and ductwork with multi disciplines to ensure project functionality requirements are being met.
- Attend client and design team coordination meetings.
- Participate in E3D model reviews for HVAC system constructability, mechanical handling and maintenance aspects.
- Set up ductwork specification within E3D.
- Co-ordinate and discuss HVAC construction standards and methods.
