Data Scientist required to join our Client's high-performing Product team. This is a company that’s recently experienced exceptional growth and cemented its position as an industry leader. In this role, you’ll support both the Data Science Manager and Research Manager, giving you a rare opportunity to grow across disciplines. Your work will focus on new product development, BAU tasks, and directly support our wider strategic goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyse spatial and non-spatial datasets to identify patterns or trends
- Build models (e.g., spatial regressions, machine learning) to forecast or classify spatial phenomena
- Create visualizations (e.g., heatmaps, spatial clustering) for decision-makers
- Validate data outputs and refine product features using statistical techniques
Essential Skills:
- Advanced GIS use (QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo)
- Experience with spatial databases (SQL Server Spatial / PostGIS)
- Data extraction via APIs or web scraping
Desirable:
- Safe FME
