Software Controls Engineer

Job Title: Software Controls Engineer Location: Bristol, with occasional site visits required and up to 2 days per week WFH. Salary: up to £60,0000 Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm Job Overview: As a Software Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for programming, designing, and commissioning software solutions for industrial control systems. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure high-quality system performance, from development through to implementation. Long service vouchers and additional holidays Key Responsibilities: Develop software for PLCs, PACs, and HMIs. Produce and maintain design documentation. Conduct system testing to ensure reliability and efficiency. Commission integrated systems at client sites. Provide software support across different departments. Troubleshoot Orbital systems in the field and provide technical support. Maintain development/design records in line with Orbital's QA system.
