As PR Intern at Sanderson Design Group, you will be responsible for day-to-day support of the PR function, with some marketing events support. Your purpose will be to support our PR & Communications Manager and PR Executive with elevating our brands to create consumer demand. This internship is ideal for someone looking to pursue a PR role in the world of interiors. It will provide a hands-on, varied experience amongst a welcoming team in our beautiful HQ in Chiswick.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the PR & Communications Manager and Executive on new campaigns and briefs
- Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions
- Lead on tracking coverage (appeared and forthcoming) and PR metrics
- Monitor coverage daily, flag key/relevant coverage
- Monthly reporting on all brands’ coverage – both print and digital
- Be the main point of contacts for our clippings service
- Work on presentations for product launches, stakeholder meetings and new collections
- Action image, sample and product requests from press and stylists
- Build relationships with press, cultivate network of contacts
- Analyse interiors trends and wider industry news to proactively develop weekly pitches
- Support on previewing new collections to key publications and journalists, compile post-event report
- Support PR Executive in liaising with international PR agencies
- Distribute content such as briefing notes and press releases as required
- Update and maintain press database
- Daily administrative tasks / ad hoc duties to support PR & Communications Manager and Executive
- Manage department subscriptions and expenses
- Maintain magazine storage and archive
- Support with key marketing events where possible (incl. Voysey House Collective)
- Deliver all projects to a high standard, in line with brand expectations

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in an Arts / Humanities / Marketing, or equivalent working experience
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for KPI tracking and analysis (incl. PivotTables)
- Organised, deadline-driven, detail-oriented
- Proactive, reliable individual
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent writing and copyediting skills
- Ability to understand and detect design trends
- Passionate about interiors and aware of key publications
- Experience with Launch Metrics is a plus
- Experience working in an office or a marketing team is a plus
