The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Gardener to join our team. This role will be required for 3-4 days per week. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for horticulture and a comprehensive understanding of lawn and plant care. The Gardener will be responsible for maintaining the health and appearance of various plants, lawns, hedges, shrubs, and ornamental flora, ensuring they receive appropriate seasonal care.

- Maintaining green spaces and flower beds
- Preparing garden beds and raising seedlings
- Weeding, trimming, and pruning plants
- Designing gardens and selecting plant species
- Managing irrigation systems
- Applying pesticides and fertilizers
- Sowing and propagating plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, and bushes
- Mowing lawns and operating gardening equipment
- Planting all types of plants, including flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Maintaining plants by watering, fertilising, and trimming them
- Using and maintaining gardening tools and light gardening machinery
- Identifying and treating diseases, pest infestations, and other issues with garden plants
- Cleaning up garden areas
- Providing recommendations for garden improvements
- Handling edging, mulching, and other garden tasks
- Assisting in the planning and design of garden layouts to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the landscape
- Maintaining gardening tools and equipment in good working condition
- Providing support to the maintenance team in adverse/winter weather
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in horticulture or a related field
- Knowledge of sustainable gardening practices
- Experience with landscape design and garden planning
Work Environment: The Gardener will work primarily outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions. The role may involve lifting heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods.
