Purpose of the Role
- Take charge of preparing and managing proposals for projects, making sure they are technically accurate, commercially practical, and meet client needs.
- Understand client requirements and help create concept designs by working with the Design Team or making basic layout drawings using Revit.
- Lead the entire proposal process from idea to final submission, including estimating costs, working with stakeholders, and writing clear proposal documents.
- Handle individual proposals independently and assist the Head of Bids and Bid Managers with bigger, more complex projects.
Essential Criteria
- Have an HNC or similar qualification (like NVQ Level 4) in engineering, construction, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of technical estimating, pricing, and procurement processes.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for cost modeling, documents, and presentations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex information clearly.
- Good at analysing problems and finding solutions.
- Able to work well in a team and communicate confidently with different people.
