We are recruiting a Quality Assurance Engineer for a global leader in detection technology, supporting the production of their X-ray systems used in critical infrastructure. You’ll support quality assurance for the Advanced Detection Systems division, working across engineering, production, service, and supplier functions to maintain world-class standards. The role focuses on early intervention, continuous improvement, and enforcing compliance with ISO9001 and internal quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute quality assurance strategies aligned with customer and industry standards
- Lead internal audits and manage corrective actions
- Support external audits, including third-party surveillance and customer inspections
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Investigate product issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5 Whys)
- Manage calibration processes and oversee control of test equipment
- Produce and manage quality plans, deviation reviews, and change control documentation (ECOs, CCBs)
- Provide quality input during New Product Introduction (NPI) and engineering changes
- Track and report quality KPIs to support continuous improvement efforts
- Guide the Material Review Board (MRB) on rejected parts and scrap processing
Experience & Skills Required:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a quality role within electromechanical or low-volume, high-value environments
- ISO9001 QMS knowledge and hands-on auditing experience
- Strong documentation, inspection, and calibration systems experience
- Familiarity with CMM or FARO arm and mechanical inspection tools
- Understanding of process improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, Minitab, etc.)
- Comfortable reading technical drawings (GD&T preferred)
- ERP experience (D365 preferred)
Qualifications:
- Degree in Quality, Engineering, or related discipline preferred
- Certified Internal or Lead Quality Auditor
