We are working with a well-regarded law firm to recruit a Risk & Compliance Officer to join their team in Royal Leamington Spa. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the firm’s ongoing regulatory compliance, promoting best practice across departments, and supporting internal audit and risk management processes.
The firm is seeking an experienced compliance professional with a minimum of two years’ experience in a legal environment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of a varied compliance workload in a supportive and professional setting.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Conducting audits of policies, procedures and case files across all offices
- Reporting findings and recommending improvements to senior stakeholders
- Managing and maintaining compliance records
- Leading Lexcel, CQS and AML audits and preparing for external assessments
- Liaising with fee earners on risk, conflict, AML and SAR matters
- Supporting new starters with induction training and ongoing compliance education
- Keeping internal documentation current, consistent and accessible
- Monitoring updates to regulatory standards and applying them across the business
