In this role, you’ll be working in a lean team, building Checkout’s own People Operating System.
Your role will be to develop products that all of our 2000+ employees will use daily, from product ideation to deployment. Our vision is to create the Operating System for everything about our People at Checkout. We are developing a comprehensive OS suite, covering the entire employee lifecycle from pre-joining to alumni status, and everything in between. We believe that investing in our internal OS will empower our people to thrive by providing a full suite of tools tailored to our Culture, Operating Principles, and their needs, for daily use.
We embody our Run Lean and Pace Matters Operating Principles. We are building a Checkout People OS team that is lean by design, where those who define what should be built are also the ones building it. We strongly believe that rapid iteration (e.g., within days) is key to our success. We are user-centric. Everyone is involved in discussing with users and understanding their pains and needs. We understand what it takes to build a great product. We have the technical expertise to develop our products, and when we lack it, we rally others to help us achieve high quality.
What you’ll be doing:
- Engage with colleagues, department, and team leads to identify priorities for our People OS;
- Design products and features that improve daily life for all colleagues;
- Own the execution and iteration of your products and features;
- Collaborate within the People OS team, brainstorm, and support where needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in building full-stack web applications;
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end ownership, from ideation to deployment;
- Proficiency in UI/UX: React, Typescript, Tailwind, with a focus on user-friendly experiences;
- Proficiency in Backend: Next.js (App Router), Postgres, AWS; experience in rapid iteration and efficient system design;
- Proven entrepreneurial and product mindset;
- Eagerness to take ownership, interview users, develop solutions, and iterate;
- Positive attitude and resilience.
