We have a new exciting opportunity at Thales Underwater Systems for an Electrical Manufacturing Technician to work within our Towed Array manufacturing cell based in Templecombe. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for the next step up in their career or someone interested in working in a manufacturing environment that has the key fundamental skills to carry out the role. The key focus is to ensure we provide a consistently high quality of product on time to support the production line.
Key Responsibilities and tasks:
- Operating machinery
- Performing mechanical assembly operations, as defined by routings, manufacturing instructions, wiring schedules and drawing.
- Ensuring product equipment and tools are used and maintained to the required workshop standards.
About You:
- Ability to assemble and test product to a high standard
- Ability to perform complex electrical operations involving wiring and component soldering to IPC standards
- To have an awareness / understanding of a Production environment or similar
- Focussed on meeting deadlines with good time management and prioritisation skills
- The ability to work on own initiative when required
- The ability to work and contribute as a team player
- A basic level of PC skills
