Introducing BAE Systems! Our partner, BAE Systems, is seeking experienced Sheet Metal Workers to join their growing team in Barrow on a 12-month contract. With competitive rates offered to both locals and those willing to commute from further afield, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative project.
As a valued member of a specialist team, you will work on the latest generation of submarines, contributing to the prestigious Astute or Dreadnought programmes.
What Do I Need To Succeed as a Sheet Metal Worker?
My Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components, utilising welding and fabrication equipment to ensure precision and quality in every task.
BAE Systems' Pay Rates:
BAE Systems offers competitive umbrella rates to contractors, tailored to your allocated shifts and the distance travelled to reach the Barrow site. Below are the details of the rates, with the PAYE option also available.
For Umbrella Contractors living within 39 miles of the base, please see the rates outlined below.
- Standard shift: £27.40 + £3.98 = £31.38
- 3 on 4 off: £31.28 + £4.55 = £35.83
- Night shift: £33.80 + £4.91 = £38.71
- Weekday & Saturday overtime: £31.52 (inclusive of holiday)
- Sunday overtime: £42.02 (inclusive of holiday)
PAYE Umbrella Barrow shift patterns:
- Standard Shift: £36.80
- 3 on 4 off: £41.93
- Night shift: £45.27
- Weekday and Saturday Overtime: £37.34
- Sunday Overtime: £49.48
