Role Description
We are looking for a commercially minded and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our growing team. In this pivotal pre-sales role, you’ll act as the bridge between our consulting expertise and business development efforts. You will work closely with prospective customers to understand their challenges, articulate the value of Invoka’s solutions and services, and craft compelling, technology-driven proposals that deliver measurable business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is confident presenting tailored solution demonstrations, serves as a trusted advisor to clients, and thrives in cross-functional collaboration - partnering with both sales and consulting teams to shape and position winning proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Business Development team to qualify opportunities and support the pre-sales process.
- Facilitate engaging, customer-specific Smartsheet demonstrations and proof-of-concepts that address real business challenges.
- Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and translate them into solution designs aligned with Invoka’s offerings.
- Develop and present technical proposals and documentation that support the sales process.
- Contribute to RFP/RFI responses with high-quality input on architecture, implementation approach, and value proposition.
- Collaborate with consultants and project teams to ensure smooth handovers from sales to delivery.
- Stay current with software platform capabilities (e.g., Smartsheet, Salesforce, Tableau, Monday.com, etc.) and recommend optimal solutions.
- Build strong client relationships to establish trust and promote long-term engagement.
Experience and Skills:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical sales role.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to understand customer pain points and position appropriate technology solutions.
- Familiarity with CWM, CRM, analytics, or automation platforms.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Legally authorised to work in the U.K.
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Smartsheet, Salesforce, Monday.com, Asana, ClickUp, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Knowledge of sales enablement tools or proposal software.
- Foreign language skills.
