Lead Platform Engineer – Azure | SaaS

We’re working with a profitable, fast-growing SaaS company that’s looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to take ownership of its Azure infrastructure and play a central role in scaling a platform used by thousands of customers.

This is a strategic technical position for someone who enjoys working in complex, cloud-native environments and wants to help shape the long-term direction of platform engineering within a collaborative, high-performing product team.

The technical landscape:

• Azure (AKS, Functions, App Services, Event Grid, etc.)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• CI/CD using Azure DevOps
• Monitoring and Observability (Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Prometheus/Grafana)
• GitHub for version control, and a modern SDLC with automated testing and security baked in

What we’re looking for:

• Someone who can lead the design and delivery of reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure
• Deep experience with Azure and infrastructure automation
• Strong understanding of security principles, cost optimisation, and performance tuning in cloud environments
• Collaborative approach and ability to work cross-functionally with development, architecture, and product teams
• Mentorship skills and a desire to uplift platform engineering practices across the organisation
