Are you an experienced technical administrator or developer with a passion for higher education systems and digital transformation? A leading UK-based university is embarking on a major transformation programme and is seeking a Technical Systems Administrator to join their dynamic team.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in implementing a modern Student Information System (SIS), supporting the full student lifecycle from application to award. You’ll work within a collaborative, project-driven environment and take ownership of designing, developing, and configuring system workflows and reports in line with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and configure workflows, reports, and experience cards to support business processes in a SaaS environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret business needs into technical solutions
- Perform testing and resolve technical issues to ensure quality and performance
- Maintain clear documentation and adhere to established coding standards
- Track progress, manage risks, and report on project activities using formal project tools (e.g., RAID logs)
- Support UAT preparation and quality control processes
- Degree in a STEM or Computer Science-related discipline
- Proven experience developing workflow applications within large-scale SIS or SaaS implementations
- Proficiency in technologies such as React, JavaScript, Node, SQL, Java, and PL/SQL
- Experience working with authentication protocols (SSO, SAML, LDAP, etc.)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Experience with Ellucian Banner SaaS platform
- Familiarity with Ellucian Workflow, Ethos Integration, or CRM systems like Microsoft Dynamics
- Oracle Java Programmer and/or PL/SQL Certification
