Are you an experienced Clinical Negligence Fee Earner, Paralegal or Legal Executive ready for something new? Want to stay close to the legal work you love โ without the pressure of fee earning?
Simpson Millar is hiring a Legal Risk Assessor to join our Injury practice area. This is a strategic, non-fee earning role where youโll use your clinical negligence knowledge to assess case viability, support client onboarding, and influence commercial decisions across the firm.

Youโll play a pivotal part in deciding which new enquiries we pursue, using your legal expertise to guide our decision-making. Itโs perfect for someone with strong hands-on experience in Clinical Negligence whoโs ready to move away from managing a caseload โ but still wants to make a meaningful impact.
What youโll be doing:
โ Assessing the legal and commercial merit of new Injury enquiries
โ Reviewing accepted cases for quality and viability
โ Supporting and coaching our Contact Centre team
โ Liaising with legal teams to ensure consistent risk profiling
โ Contributing to process improvements and commercial insights
What weโre looking for:
๐น Clinical Negligence case handling experience (essential)
๐น Fee Earner, Paralegal or Legal Exec background
๐น Commercial mindset with risk awareness
๐น Strong communicator and team player
๐น Familiar with digital case management systems
๐น Coaching experience a bonus, but not required
