We are seeking an intern to join the Product Development Process Improvement Team. The key focus of the team is to improve the effectiveness of the vehicle design process through design specific business systems. The role will support the Product Development Process Improvement Team with all aspects of process definition and system development. The candidate will gain an overview of all business functions within a commercial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Detailed investigations of existing design processes
- Technical Design Review System
- Working Groups & Technical Guideline control
- Lessons Learnt Data & Design Checkpoint management
- PD Information Portal
- PD Document Library
- Google Distribution Lists
- Requirements gathering for process improvement proposals
- System definition and planning to meet business and ISO requirements
- System design, scripting and UI development using Google Applications:
- Google Sheets
- Google Forms
- Google Apps Script
- Looker Studio
- Google Docs
- Google Groups
Qualifications/Experience:
- A Levels Completed: Maths, Business, Computing, Technology or similar
- GCSE Maths, Science and English – Grade C minimum (or equivalent)
- Undergraduate Trainee in a technical subject such as: IT, Computing, Business Management or similar
- Excellent IT competency
- Experience on the G-suite platform is an advantage
- Experience with coding using Google Apps Script, Java, HTML or similar
- You will be Highly organised
- Able to Effectively prioritise
- Excellent attention to detail whilst being able to meet timescale targets for activities
- Logical approach to problem solving, able to think ahead and mitigate risks in systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Desire to learn whilst being open to advice and guidance
