About The Role & Who We're Scouting
We're on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Physical Performance Coach to join our team at LCWFC. As Physical Performance Coach, you'll play a key role in supporting the Head of Performance to plan and deliver physical sessions in collaboration with the Club's S&C Coach across the LCFC Women’s first team, collecting and analysing detailed and relevant data/metrics that can subsequently be used to provide insights to players and coaches on physical preparation, performance and recovery, cultivating positive collaboration with the wider multi-disciplinary team. Essential criteria for the role includes:
- BSc in Sport and Exercise Science or related discipline.
- Experience working in elite sport or high-performance environments, ideally football.
- Competency in GPS, HR, and athlete monitoring technologies.
- Strong data analysis and visualisation skills (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or coding platforms).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with coaches and athletes.
Desirable criteria for the role includes:
- MSc in Applied Sport Science or related area.
- BASES accreditation or working towards.
- Previous experience working with female athletes or within a women's football club.
- Understanding of EIS Physical Preparation framework and its application to football.
- Experience using integrated athlete management systems.

About The Club
Knowing some of the history of LCWFC helps you appreciate the sense of community, spirit and family for which the Club is renowned. In May 2021, LCFC Women were promoted to the FA Women's Super League. From its formation in 2004, the Club was run on an amateur and semi-professional basis with support from Leicester City Football Club. In August 2020, the Club turned professional after being acquired by King Power International, Leicester City’s parent company, and realigned as a core team in Leicester City’s football operation.
