Our client, who are a well-established global freight forwarder, is seeking an experienced Road Freight Coordinator to join their team in Ipswich. This role involves managing the end-to-end road freight process, including freight planning, order handling, and customs clearance. You will be responsible for ensuring all shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with service standards.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30
Package:
- Salary up to 35,000 (dependent on experience)
- 23 days holiday + bank holidays

Key Responsibilities:
- Full order processing and coordination of EU Road freight
- Analyse customer orders for accuracy and feasibility
- Plan and book transportation for road freight
- Handle import customs procedures and documentation
- Generate invoices and maintain accurate digital records
- Provide updates to internal and external stakeholders via email, phone, or EDI
- Resolve operational issues promptly
- Report non-conformities in line with KPIs
- Liaise with approved subcontractors within agreed rates
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation and order handling
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in logistics and freight forwarding operations
- UK based/Right to work in the UK (No sponsorship on offer)
- Strong understanding of UK freight procedures
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office (and/or other logistics platforms)
- Experience with Cargowise preferred but not essential
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments
