Our dynamic logistics client in Rugby is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Supervisor to join their busy team. You will be working in collaboration with the Transport Manager. The role is responsible for the day to day operation of the site and driver workforce, ensuring:
- Delivery of the organisational requirements relating to drivers, depot and yard staff
- Attendance and coordination of first line HR matters relating to depot and driver workforce in conjunction with Transport Manager
- Support the Transport Manager in delivering data analysis
- Take ownership for identifying issues and seeks to provide resolutions
Main Tasks:
- Reporting and escalation of vehicle and trailer defects to the fleet department
- Completing daily risk assessments
- Working Time Directive for the driver workforce to maintain depot legal compliance
- Recording and following through DVSA stops
- Pro-active coordination of driver CPC records
- Absence Management
- Dealing with New Starter/Leaver details
- Dealing with Driver holiday requests/ Driver shift variations
- Deal with vehicle maintenance
- Supporting management with driver compliance
