Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is currently seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join their dynamic team at a busy site in Batley.
About the Role
You will work to provide an efficient and effective HR service to the business across the shifts. You'll manage and support managers and employees on the interpretation and application of the company's HR policies, procedures, employment law and HR best practice and support the HR team to deliver strategic objectives for business success. A huge part of your role will involve collaborating with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results. In addition, you'll deliver short to medium term plans for the business in its people planning and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders to achieve high levels of trust, respect and professionalism.
- Challenging team cultures and behaviours to ensure that they are always consistent with organisational culture.
- Being one step ahead in terms of understanding, data and insight (externally and internally) to role model the highest levels of HR skill and professionalism.
- Collaborating with HR colleagues to support a 'one team' approach and challenge so that we may continuously improve to deliver the People Strategy and annual business plans.
- Providing support, advice and coaching on all people related issues.
- Educating, coaching, and partnering with managers on performance management and employee development goals.
- Supporting the South HRBP with the development and delivery of company change management projects.
- Developing and delivering business and HR related projects including employee engagement plans.
- Supporting the management of Employee Relation and Union Matters to drive positive outcomes.
- Working alongside the team to deliver HR strategy and support business strategy including workforce and succession planning delivery.
- Supporting ER case work as and when required.
Experience needed
- Proven experience in a fast-paced HR role, CIPD level 5 qualified is desirable, but not essential.
- Excellent IT skills and sound knowledge of HR systems, processes, and legislation.
- Experience of working within a unionised manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Up to date knowledge of good practice and emerging trends in the field of HR.
- Experience of supporting the implementation of change initiatives, ideally within a rapidly growing or evolving business setting.
