Role purpose:

As Team Lead Utilities you will manage the support activities as a service provider for all manufacturing units in the area of Black- & Clean-Utilities, HVAC, Buildings and liquid waste management. You will be responsible for all aspects regarding maintaining, troubleshooting and operation of the assigned areas and systems. Personnel management of the assigned team including personnel development. You will be accountable for the performance and results of the assigned assets and roles including cost control.

Key accountabilities:

  • Manages a team of specialists and shift personnel with full responsibility for all aspects of human resource management such as qualification, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions and discipline issues.
  • Insures the safe operation of all utilities and waste management activities.
  • Responsible for control of own cost center, identifies and implements cost reduction measures.
  • Implements a vision as service provider in his organization. Implements the MM culture via openness for change and new ideas, cooperative teamwork and continuous improvement even outside his/her own area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for all aspects of Black- & Clean-Utilities, HVAC, Buildings and liquid waste regarding engineering, maintenance, troubleshooting and operation.
  • Implementation and development of the current utilities maintenance strategy to ensure the required plant availability considering cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensures the proper operation and availability of Clean-Steam, Purified Water, Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning Systems (HVAC) in compliance with GMP requirements.

  • Very good communication skills and interaction with all kinds of interfaces within the organization.
  • Strong team orientation, leading, guiding, organizing and developing personnel.
  • Agile, highly motivated and dynamic drive; solution-oriented.
  • Structured, focused and well-organized working attitude; open-minded for new ideas and suggestions.
  • Thinking and planning ahead, ability to prioritize.
  • Innovative thinking and acting; practical experience of OE / LEAN – methodology is a plus.
