Building Safety Manager (12 month FTC)

We are supporting a Not-for-Profit in Stafford to recruit a Building Safety Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role is paying £40,000 – £41,000, plus hybrid working.

This Not-for-Profit in Stafford who provide affordable homes to their local community and employ 950 staff.

Building Safety Manager (12 month FTC):

• Day to day management responsibility, of the repair, maintenance and general Health and Safety (H&S) requirements and more specifically of those relating to statutory and legal compliance obligations.
• Ensure the delivery of the resident engagement strategies for its higher risk buildings.
• Monitoring the day-to-day building services supervision, to deliver effective contract management of all work undertaken to the structure, fabric, service and compliance activities.
• Ensure that exposure to risk from a Health and Safety or Statutory Compliance failure is minimised.
• Day to day management responsibility, within their assigned sites and schemes, of the repair, maintenance and general Health and Safety requirements.
• Management responsibility for all online and site-based building manuals across their assigned portfolio ensuring H&S and organisational compliance.
• Management of the assigned service charge budgets including contribution to budget setting.
• Undertake ad-hoc project work within assigned portfolio, reviewing specification, conducting site visits.
• Management of Compliance Assistants.

Building Safety Manager (12 month FTC):

• NEBOSH or IOSH General Certification or equivalent.
• IWFM qualified or similar FM experience would be desirable.
• Detailed regulatory and compliance knowledge for Asbestos, Fire Safety, Legionella, Gas, Electric and LOLER.
• A track record of working within a risk and compliance environment.
• Proven ability to regular travel to different sites liaising with a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to evidence a high quality and cost-effective maintenance service.
• Previous line management experience.
• Strong oral and written communication style.

Building Safety Manager (12 month FTC):

£40,000 – £41,000 per annum.

Mileage for company travel.

37 hours per week.

12 month fixed term contract.

25 days annual leave, plus 3 concessionary days over Christmas, plus 8 public holidays.
