About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Industrial Sales Engineer with a strong background in engineering procurement to join our team in the heat tracing industry. This role is ideal for a professional who combines deep technical knowledge with commercial acumen to drive sales, manage client relationships, and support project execution across industrial sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target industries.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, contractors, consultants, and end-users.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Provide technical consultation on heat tracing systems, including electric and steam tracing.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop customized solutions.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procurement documents.
- Support procurement activities by evaluating vendor offers and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of systems.
- Monitor project progress and provide after-sales support.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
- Maintain CRM records and prepare regular sales reports and forecasts.
About you:
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial sales, preferably in heat tracing or related thermal management systems.
- Proven experience in engineering procurement or working with EPC contractors.
- Strong understanding of industrial project lifecycles and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and technical drawing software (AutoCAD, etc.) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Attributes:
- Familiarity with international standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, ATEX).
- Experience with hazardous area applications and temperature maintenance systems.
- Multilingual capabilities are an advantage.
