Aspire People are currently recruiting for an experienced PRU Teaching Assistant to work in a well-established Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Leicester. This is a rewarding role, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with complex behavioural needs and helping them engage in their education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with behavioural challenges and additional needs, providing individualised assistance to help them access the curriculum.
- Assist the teacher in managing classroom behaviour, using effective strategies to maintain a positive and focused learning environment.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support, including emotional and social guidance to pupils who may struggle with traditional school settings.
- Help with the preparation and delivery of lessons, ensuring pupils are fully engaged and involved.

- Monitor and track students' progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and senior staff.
