This well-established and respected business services group are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving organisation and play a key role in delivering critical IT projects for their public sector clientele.

We seek an IT Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing projects within the public sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of public sector frameworks and requirements, with good technical knowledge of Linux.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, issue logs, and progress reports.
  • Effectively manage project budgets, timelines, resources, and scope, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with public sector clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations.
  • Utilise your strong Linux and ITIL experience to inform project planning and execution.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to Prince2 methodologies and best practices.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes within the organisation.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a strong focus on delivering projects for public sector clients.
  • Current Prince2 Practitioner or Foundation accreditation is essential.
  • Solid experience and understanding of Linux environments.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of ITIL frameworks and practices.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing the full project lifecycle.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Must live within a reasonable commutable distance to facilitate hybrid working (1-2 days in the office per week).
