Application Support Engineer – Front Office Trading – London

A global multi-strategy investment firm is hiring an Execution Support Engineer to join its front-office trading technology team. This role supports mission-critical trading systems and real-time market data in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide front-office production support for electronic trading systems.
  • Monitor and support real-time market data and execution workflows.
  • Troubleshoot FIX connectivity, order flow, and network-related issues.
  • Perform log analysis and root-cause investigations on Unix/Linux systems.
  • Build simple automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.

What You Bring

  • Front-office trading or execution support experience.
  • Strong Unix/Linux skills and solid SQL/database knowledge.
  • Good FIX protocol and order lifecycle understanding.
  • Comfortable working directly with traders in high-pressure environments.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to market data platforms (Bloomberg BPIPE, Redline, SpiderRock).
  • Experience with Flextrade, FIX onboarding, or Arcesium.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, or monitoring tools.
