We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Analyst to support one of our clients on a fixed-term remote contract. This role is open to UK-based candidates only and is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience or a strong interest in finance and corporate sustainability practices to work on meaningful projects that drive ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives.
The successful candidate will assist in data analysis, reporting, and financial impact assessments of sustainability risks and opportunities across the clientβs business operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect, validate, and analyse sustainability-related data (energy, emissions, waste, water, social impact metrics, etc.) from various business units.
- Support the preparation of internal and external ESG reports and disclosures in line with relevant frameworks (e.g. TCFD, GRI, SASB).
- Assist in developing sustainability performance dashboards and financial models assessing the cost/benefit of sustainability initiatives.
- Work closely with client finance, risk, and operational teams to integrate ESG factors into financial analysis and decision-making.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking on sustainability trends, ESG risks, and industry best practices.
- Support project management activities for client-led sustainability initiatives.
- Track progress against corporate sustainability goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- A degree or equivalent experience in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in finance, financial analysis, or corporate reporting.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with large data sets and draw meaningful insights.
- Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and sustainability concepts is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI or Tableau a plus).
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting.
- Must be based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.
