Operations Director, Arts & Entertainment Responsible for operational planning and delivery for Hyde Park Winter Wonderland and other A&E Events. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Lead operational planning for Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, ensuring a safe and secure event. Develop and implement operational strategy in collaboration with senior management. Act as Event Gold/Silver during live events as required. Manage the operations team, including hiring and budgeting. Coordinate with major suppliers, including security and stewarding. Oversee procurement and management of contractors. Train operational staff and manage budgets. Contribute to emergency planning and site design. Manage crowd safety plans and site design for ingress, egress, and queues. Establish and oversee the Event Control Centre. Monitor budgets and negotiate with suppliers. Plan and execute safety exercises. Lead at multi-agency meetings and stakeholder engagement. Manage invoicing and post-event reconciliation. Scope event requirements, tender, and negotiate contracts. Build and maintain relationships with contractors and sponsors. Conduct post-event reviews and feedback sessions. Assist with business modeling and international projects. Unusual Challenges or Circumstances: Regular weekend work and travel to events like Hampton Court Palace Festival, The Big Feastival, and Winter Wonderland. Travel for meetings outside of event times. Key Results Areas: Successful event delivery on time, within budget, and safely. Positive stakeholder and visitor feedback. Person Specification: Knowledge and Experience: Experience in managing large outdoor events and contractors. Experience with safety groups and budget management. Skills & Abilities: Strong leadership and influence skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage tasks efficiently. Motivational, proactive, and good communicator. Proficient in MS Office; CAD and Visio skills desirable. Qualifications and Training: Essential: Knowledge of UK and EU health and safety legislation, including CDM 2015.
