This building services design role is to join a highly professional friendly team of specialist design engineers. Responsibilities
- Working as part of a design team delivering detailed design
- Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams
- Attending a range of project group and technical meetings
- Ensuring that the design of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements
- Aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint
- Overseeing and supervising the installation of building systems
- Using specialist software such as Relux / Dialux and other resources to design the systems required for the project
- Carrying out condition surveys and providing recommendation reports to clients
- To take opportunities as they arise for continued learning and development of your skills
Experience Required
- An Electrical or Building Services degree or higher educational qualification (HNC/HND)
- Post degree experience in electrical building services design with experience in running projects including calculations, drawings and specifications, etc.
- Experience of industry standard software
