This strategic leadership position will drive solution design, technical scoping, and proposal development for all net new professional services engagements for both prospects and existing customers. The role requires a leader who can articulate the value of professional services offerings, architect transformative solutions, and collaborate effectively with sales teams to drive revenue growth while ensuring proposed solutions are deliverable and profitable.Main ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDefine and execute the global solutions engineering strategy, aligning with the company\’s overall go-to-market approach and professional services offeringsBuild and scale a pre-sales organization that effectively supports revenue targets across regionsDevelop and maintain standardized professional services offerings, solution frameworks, proposal templates, and scoping methodologiesCreate differentiated value propositions for professional services offerings that address specific market needsRepresent the professional services organization in strategic planning and go-to-market initiativesPartner with Sales and Solutions Engineering leadership within the organization to define a clear and cogent sales motionLead the design and architecture of complex, customized professional services solutions for strategic opportunitiesEstablish solution design frameworks that balance client requirements, implementation feasibility, and profitabilityDrive innovation in solution approaches to address emerging client needs and market trendsCreate reusable offerings and solution components/accelerators that can be rapidly customized for specific client scenariosEnsure technical viability and practical deliverability of proposed solutionsProposal Development & ScopingOversee the development of compelling proposals, statements of work, and standardized offeringsEstablish standardized pricing models, estimation frameworks, and scope definition processesCreate scalable processes to engage the PS solutions engineering organization and ensure speed and accuracyDrive consistency in proposal quality, format, and content across all regionsImplement governance processes to ensure appropriate risk assessment and profitability analysisDevelop strategies to differentiate professional services offerings from competitorsPartner with sales leaders to develop and execute joint go-to-market strategies for professional servicesCreate and deliver training programs for sales teams on professional services offerings and value propositionsProvide expert professional services guidance during strategic client conversations and executive meetingsSupport complex sales cycles with solution presentations, demonstrations, and technical deep divesParticipate in key client meetings to articulate the value and approach of proposed solutionsBuild, mentor, and develop a global team of solutions engineersEstablish career development paths and growth opportunities for solutions engineering team membersImplement performance metrics aligned with revenue growth and win ratesFoster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvementRecruit and retain top pre-sales talent with both technical and consultative skillsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with sales leadership to align pre-sales strategies with sales objectivesCollaborate with PS delivery and consulting leadership to ensure proposed solutions can be effectively implemented and executedEnable PS delivery and consulting teams on PS pre-sales frameworks, approach and tools to scale coverage where necessaryWork with product management to align service offerings with product roadmaps and capabilitiesEngage with marketing to develop compelling service offering descriptions and value propositionsProvide feedback to product and delivery teams based on client requirements and market demandsStay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging market needsDevelop competitive intelligence on professional services offerings, pricing models, and delivery approachesAnalyze win/loss data to refine solution approaches and proposal strategiesIdentify market opportunities for new service offerings or solution packagesProvide insights to executive leadership on market dynamics and competitive positioningRequirementsExperience10+ years of experience in professional services, consulting, solution architecture, or related fields5+ years in pre-sales, solution design, or technical consulting leadership rolesProven track record of supporting large, complex sales opportunities and driving revenue growthExperience building and leading global pre-sales or solution architecture teamsHistory of successful collaboration with sales, delivery, and product organizationsExperience with proposal development, estimation, and scope definition for professional servicesStrong leadership abilities with excellent people management skillsOutstanding communication and presentation skills at both technical and executive levelsExceptional solution design and architecture capabilitiesStrategic thinking with strong commercial acumenAdvanced negotiation and influencing skillsAbility to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositionsStrong analytical capabilities for pricing, scoping, and risk assessmentExcellent problem-solving and creative thinking skillsEducation & CertificationsBachelor\’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferredTechnical certifications relevant to the company\’s products or servicesSales methodology certifications (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger Sale) beneficialProject or program management certifications a plusTravel RequirementsWillingness to travel up to 30-50% (domestic
