We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer Manager with knowledge of Findur or Endur Treasury Management System (TMS) to join our Treasury Technology team in the UK. As a Systems Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a high-performing team that consistently delivers quality outcomes, while empowering our engineers to make their own technical decisions. You will work effectively with internal and external stakeholders and product teams to ensure the right outcomes are delivered, while formulating the technical strategy and roadmap for the area.
About the Team: The Treasury Technology team is based across the UK and India and is part of our wider Finance systems engineering team. The UK team focuses on enhancing our treasury system with a strategic roadmap for developing alongside Findur, while our India team maintains and operates the current solutions. This role can be based out of either our London Farringdon or Welwyn Garden City office (depending on your location). Candidates should be able to communicate effectively with either office as needed.
- Formulate the technical strategy and roadmap for treasury technology to support business growth and maintain competitive advantage.
- Drive architecture, design, implementation, and reusability of technology, specifically Findur, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Manage a small treasury engineering team, helping to deliver the Treasury roadmap and develop high-performing teams.
- Ensure the environment and processes facilitate high-quality system delivery.
- Ensure the right product outcomes through effective technical strategies and trade-offs.
- Build capability by hiring, retaining, and developing engineers, providing growth opportunities and motivation.
- Establish and sustain a successful development environment.
- Maintain appropriate processes, practices, and standards aligned with wider technology strategies.
- Evaluate and recommend products to meet business needs.
- Drive continuous improvement and empower engineers to own technical decisions.
- Lead key system projects, including major upgrades and change programs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Treasury systems and interfaces, ensuring all requirements are considered during projects.
- Develop solutions for infrastructure and applications, providing configuration and functional knowledge in Treasury solutions.
- Ensure projects involving Treasury systems are executed with proper testing, data validation, and process simulation.
- Manage change requests considering business requirements, testing, deployment, and approval processes.
- Assist operational teams with Findur issues, analyzing system issues and implementing corrective actions.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, translating business requirements into technical outputs.
- Experience managing small teams and resource management.
- Understanding of project methodologies like Agile and Scrum.
- Knowledge of operations concepts and financial principles, including financial instruments and risk.
- Experience with tools such as Eclipse and MSSQL Server.
- Ability to identify process improvements through treasury systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with stakeholders and vendors.
- Understanding of systems architecture (Database, Application, Presentation, Network).
- Ability to analyze, debug, and resolve application/system issues, with experience in customizing Findur using AVS, JVS, and MS SQL Server.
- Experience working on large-scale system projects, including upgrades and major changes.
- Hands-on experience with financial instruments and modules in Findur, with strong configuration knowledge of Findur or Endur TMS.
