Hackney Council is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Utilities Account Officer to manage our energy accounts. You will be part of a team processing energy bills, managing queries, and identifying ways to reduce Carbon emissions across Schools and Council buildings. Your role is vital in making Hackney Council greener and more efficient, working collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
Your responsibilities include:
- Processing utility bills (gas, electricity, water)
- Completing journal recharges
- Managing supplier payments
- Responding to utility cost and consumption queries
- Supporting metering projects
- Analysing data and participating in utility procurement for corporate contracts and reporting
Opportunities exist to engage with energy efficiency initiatives, advanced metering, and renewable energy projects.
